Inspirational Fabrics

My most recent post pertained to inspirational fabrics that I came across at a recent fabric show. I would like to follow that post up by suggesting some great accent pieces and furnishings that will compliment these amazing fabrics.  As I stated in my previous post I picture these fabrics in a Montauk Beach House.   Imagine the cream tufted sofa seen below with accent pillows in the blue/creme/gold paisley and textured blue/gold fabric. Maybe a floating ottoman in the blue woven fabric, and window treatments in the gold and ivory paisley. Here are a few accent pieces to enhance the look.

For a more Transitional look I have this gorgeous trio of fabrics. The gold/creme flame-stitch would be fabulous on a sofa with accent pillows in both the flesh toned and textured fabric. I chose a very traditional frame with a high back to show off the large scale of the fabric. Perhaps this  reproduction mid-century console with its warm wood tones and tapered legs, flanked by a pair of these lovely gold ceramic iridescent lamps.  I would float the cream/brass table between two chairs, maybe introducing a fourth fabric, possibly a velvet.

Below I am picturing the blue/black/gray/brown zig-zag on a pair of comfy chairs, with a pillow in the blue denim velvet   The sunburst mirror with the gold edging would be a great focal point over a sofa table, flanked by a pair of hearty marble lamps topped with the funky glazed cork shade. The silky ivory fabric would be perfect for window treatments maybe with an inverted french pleat as I previously mentioned in my last post.
